Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies DigiWorld uses, why, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use browser local storage, which works similarly but stays only on your device and is never sent to our servers automatically.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always active)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (authentication) | Keeps you signed in and secures your account across pages | 30 days |
These cookies are required for the store to function — signing in, accessing your orders, and checking out all depend on them. They cannot be switched off.
We also treat the following as essential, because they are set by another company's website only when you actively use the feature they belong to, and that feature cannot work without them:
- eSewa and Khalti — when you choose to pay with one of these, you are sent to their website to complete the payment, and they set their own cookies there to process it securely. These are not set until you start a payment.
- YouTube — if a product page includes an embedded video and you choose to play it, YouTube sets its own cookies to run the player. These are not set unless you press play.
These are not affected by the analytics choice below, since they are tied to an action you took, not to browsing the site in general.
Analytics (only with your consent)
| Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Understands how visitors use the site, so we can improve it | Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | Records anonymized session behavior (clicks, scrolling) and heatmaps to find usability issues | Up to 1 year |
These only load after you click "Accept all" on our cookie prompt. If you choose "Necessary only," neither loads, and no analytics cookies are set.
Other storage we use
Your browser also stores some information locally (not as cookies, and never sent to third parties) so your experience carries over between visits:
- Your shopping cart and wishlist
- A random identifier for guest checkout, until you sign in
- Your recent search terms
This stays on your device and is cleared if you clear your browser's site data.
Third-party services
Beyond the essential cookies listed above, some parts of the site hand you off to another company's website, which may set additional cookies of its own that we don't control:
- eSewa and Khalti — during payment
- Google — if you sign in with your Google account
- YouTube — if a product page includes an embedded video and you choose to play it
Each of these third parties has its own privacy and cookie practices, which we encourage you to review on their sites.
Managing your choice
You can accept or decline analytics cookies from the prompt shown on your first visit. To change your mind later, clear your browser's cookies and site data for this site and reload the page — the prompt will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings, though this may prevent you from staying signed in.
